Hamilton doubts victory within reach
Lewis Hamilton is downcast about his chances of scoring a Formula 1 win this year after another difficult race in Germany.

Hamilton finished fourth in Britain after a tyre blow-out and fifth in Germany after struggling for race pace.
“It would be good to get a win at some stage, but at the moment it really doesn’t feel like it’s going to happen on my side,” said Hamilton.
“Life is definitely not with me at the moment. But it is what it is.
“I’ll keep working hard, I’ll keep qualifying myself high up and trying to give myself the best opportunity and who knows. At some stage it’s got to come.”
Hamilton is now 58 points behind championship leader Sebastian Vettel, and the Mercedes driver feels that gap is too big for a title tilt to be realistic.
He also reckons the new tyres Pirelli will introduce from the Hungarian Grand Prix are likely to help Vettel’s cause more than his own.
“It’s positive that we’re still second in the constructors’ championship. We’re almost 60 points down on Vettel in the drivers’ championship so that’s a serious deficit,” he said.
“But there’s a long way to go and there are new tyres coming…
“I’m not even going to hope or pray that those tyres will suit us because most likely they’ll suit the Red Bulls. We’re just going to have to work harder.”
