“The investigation into the causes and consequences of the December 29 skiing accident of Michael Schumacher ... has been closed on February 12,” Albertville prosecutor Patrick Quincy confirmed in a statement today according to Reuters. “No person has been found guilty of any violation.”

“Signalling, demarcation and information given on the limits of the piste were in line with the French standards,” the prosecutor added.

Schumacher has been in a medically-induced coma at Grenoble Hospital since suffering severe head injuries in a fall just before the New Year. Doctors began the waking up process in late January. Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm, meanwhile released another statement last week on the seven-time F1 World Champion's condition, explaining that his family ‘strongly believe’ in his recovery. She declined to comment on rumours that Schumacher had contracted pneumonia and reiterated that 'any decisive new information' regarding the German's health will be communicated.
