Williams says its focus during the season run-in is to solidify third in the Constructors' standings.

The Grove-based outfit jumped ahead of Ferrari after Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas followed the dominant Mercedes pairing home at Monza, with 15 points separating the two teams ahead of the final six races.

"The main focus for the team is the Constructors' Championship now and we have to establish ourselves in third position, which we regained from Ferrari in Monza," explained Rob Smedley, Head of Vehicle Performance.

This weekend's Singapore Grand Prix is expected to be more challenging for Williams, given the FW36's record on higher downforce circuits, but Bottas and Massa hope aerodynamic upgrades will keep them in contention.

"Singapore could be a little more difficult for us compared to Monza, but we have some aero upgrades," said Bottas. "We go there hoping to fight with Ferrari and Red Bull but we know Mercedes will be very strong."

"The track is similar to Monaco but it's almost twice the length which adds to the challenge," Massa stated. "I really enjoy the race and hope to carry the success we had in Monza into the remaining races of the season."

Third in the overall standings would mark the Williams team's strongest classification since 2003, when it finished runner-up to Ferrari. The outfit last tasted championship success during its double title-winning 1997 season.
