Petrucci joins Pramac for 2015

Danilo Petrucci will replace Andrea Iannone in the Pramac MotoGP team when Iannone moves up to the works Ducati line-up next year.

Petrucci joins Yonny Hernandez at Pramac in a two-year deal.

“I am very happy to have reached an agreement with Pramac Racing, a team that has shown great care and ability to promote the growth of young riders,” said the 23-year-old Italian.

“I am also proud and extremely motivated for the chance to ride a Ducati.”

Petrucci has raced for the small Ioda team in MotoGP for the past three seasons, achieving some giant-killing results on the outfit’s Aprilia-based bike, including eighth in the 2012 season finale at Valencia.

He takes the ride left vacant by Ducati’s decision to promote Iannone into the works team alongside Andrea Dovizioso for 2015, replacing Cal Crutchlow.
