Hulman & Company President Mark Miles will announce Thursday afternoon that D-A Lubricant Company's PennGrade Motor Oil has signed a three-year deal worth $5 million total to become the first presenting sponsor ever in the storied history of the world’s largest and most famous racetrack.

Title sponsorships are commonplace in many sports arenas, NASCAR races and IndyCar events but this is a presenting sponsorship – the 100th Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil – and the first time any company has shared the billing with the “Greatest Spectacle In Racing.”

D-A Lubricants, whose long history as a sponsor at the Indy 500 was restarted last May with Graham Rahal, will market Penn Grade Motor Oil as the “original Green Oil” and IMS/IndyCar logos will be displayed on every bottle.

PennGrade Motor Oil is a specially-formulated lubricant to meet the demands of high-performance street and racing engines. The oil delivers excellent shock load and high temperature protection, according to the website. It also reduces internal friction, which allows increased horsepower.

Rahal, who drives for his Indy-winning father Bobby, finished fourth last year in the Verizon IndyCar series championship and is expected to have D.A. Lubricants back on his Dallara-Honda as an associate sponsor.
