As per usual, the test schedule will begin with two days of post-race running on the Tuesday and Wednesday following the final round of 2017 at Valencia's Ricardo Tormo Circuit in November.

The opening 2018 test will again take place at Sepang at the end of January, while March's final test will once more be held at Losail, ahead of the first round of the campaign at the venue.

However, the middle test, which will take place in mid-February, has been moved from Australia to Thailand, enabling riders to get accustomed to the new-for-MotoGP Buriram venue.

It was also confirmed that in-season tests will take place after Grands Prix at Jerez, Barcelona and Brno.

2018 pre-season test schedule:

14/15 November (2017): Ricardo Tormo, Valencia

28 - 30 January: Sepang, Malaysia

16 - 18 February: Buriram, Thailand

1 - 3 March: Losail, Qatar
